For some, “normal” parts of childhood that help kids flourish aren’t as accessible.
Rosalee was matched with Kelly, whose own life had been changed years ago by Big Brothers Big Sisters Fredericton & Oromocto’s Matching Program, a program funded by the United Way. It quickly became apparent that Rosalee was eager to try new things, transforming from shy to a kid who happily shook hands and said, “Nice to meet you!” Her personality flourished, and Kelly was always in stitches with her “little sister” around.
Rosalee learned how to swim, tried dozens of new foods, has ventured to Science East and Kingswood Arcade plus plenty of parks and restaurants. They spend hours reading, baking, and having great conversations. Loved not only by Kelly herself, Rosalee has become cherished to Kelly’s relatives. Rosalee has brought so much love into Kelly’s life. Because of Kelly, Rosalee has had opportunity after opportunity for growth and development.
