Period Poverty affects many people in our community.
As an individual, you can make a donation of unopened menstrual products at United Way Central NB (385 Wilsey Road), Fredericton Public Library, The Cap, or NashwaaksisLibrary from May 6-27.
We also encourage people to start a donation drive in their workplace. You can even host an event, and make a box of products the cost of admission.
As a business, you can make a difference by hosting a drive, offering a discount to people who make a donation of menstrual products, or by making menstrual products available for free in your washrooms.
Individuals and businesses can help by sharing information about the drive and about period poverty. Consider sharing United Way’s social posts or sharing information with family and friends. If you can’t make a donation, that’s okay – spreading the word is still very helpful.
If you are hosting an event and want us to pick up your donation, please contact
Jennifer McEathron to make arrangements!
